Man Dies after Struck by Car in Maywood Road Rage Attack near East 58th Street

 
MAYWOOD, CA (December 12, 2022) – A man died in a road rage crash near East 58th Street and Atlantic Boulevard on Friday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:18 p.m. on December 9. According the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, a road-rage incident occurred prior to the victim being hit by a car.
 
When officers arrived, they found the man suffering from upper torso injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later died.
 
Based on a preliminary investigation, it appeared the man had gotten out of his vehicle when a green Tahoe struck him.
 
The driver of the Tahoe reportedly fled the scene, then returned and surrendered to authorities.
 
On Saturday, deputies said the suspect remained in custody.
