Authorities Discover Pedestrian Dead on 60 Freeway in South El Monte, Hit-and-Run Suspect At Large

 
SOUTH EL MONTE, CA (February 22, 2022) – A man died in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on 60 Freeway in South El Monte on Saturday evening.
 
The fatal crash happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. on February 19 at the Rosemead Boulevard off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, officers found the male pedestrian dead on the freeway.
 
The victim, whose identity was not immediately available, was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large.
 
Offices are still investigating the incident and searching for the involved driver.
