Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle on South Arlington Avenue in Jefferson Park Neighborhood

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 3, 2024) – A man died in a pedestrian accident on South Arlington Avenue in the Jefferson Park neighborhood, late Monday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened on January 1, at about 11:25 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a northbound vehicle hit the pedestrian in the 2600 block of South Arlington Avenue.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Officers described the victim as a man in his 50s.
 
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
LAPD continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
