37-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Car on North El Camino Real in Encinitas

 
ENCINITAS, CA (November 11, 2023) – A 37-year-old man was killed in a pedestrian accident on North El Camino Real in Encinitas Wednesday evening on November 8.
 
According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the male pedestrian was struck by a car in the 200 block of North El Camino Real just after 8:30 p.m.
 
First responders found the man on the roadway with significant injuries. They rushed him to a nearby hospital, where the victim later died.
 
Meanwhile, the driver remained on scene and cooperated with officers.
 
The man’s identity is being withheld at this time pending notification of family members.
 
Authorities asked anyone with further information to call the North Coastal sheriff’s station Traffic Division at 760-966-3500.
