Pedestrian Dies after Hit by Vehicle on Mission Avenue in Oceanside

 
OCEANSIDE, CA (September 13, 2022) – A man died in a pedestrian accident at Mission Avenue and Roymar Road in Oceanside on Friday morning, September 9.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:37 a.m. near Foussat Road. According to the Oceanside Police Department, the male pedestrian was attempting to cross Mission Avenue when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, the man suffered head trauma among other injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, he died at the scene. His identity was withheld at this time.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the police.
 
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in this crash. Further investigation is underway.
