Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and Nimitz Boulevard [Ocean Beach, CA]

Motorcyclist Dies after Passing Red Light, Hitting Vehicle on Sunset Cliffs Boulevard in Ocean Beach

 
OCEAN BEACH, CA (September 13, 2022) – A 33-year-old man died in a motorcycle accident at Sunset Cliffs Boulevard and Nimitz Boulevard late Friday afternoon, September 9.
 
The accident happened around 5:42 p.m. just right off the 8 Freeway in the Ocean Beach area. According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was riding his motorcycle when he passed a red light. He then struck a vehicle and got tossed to the side of the road.
 
As a result of the crash, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
