57-Year-Old Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Hillsdale Boulevard in Foothill Farms Area
FOOTHILL FARMS, CA (December 7, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Hillsdale Boulevard and Greenholme Drive on Thursday, December 2.
The accident happened around 6:20 p.m. just south of the Foothill Farms area. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man with a walker was wearing dark clothing and not in the crosswalk when a Subaru Impreza struck him. While the man was knocked on the ground, an oncoming Jeep Patriot also hit him.
As a result, the man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only described him as a 57-year-old North Highlands resident.
Neither driver is suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
CHP said both drivers who hit the man were driving the legal speed limit and stayed at the scene. They also said the area where the crash happened is a poorly lit location.
At this time, an investigation is still ongoing.
