Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle near Harris and Wible Roads

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 15, 2023) – A man died in a pedestrian accident near Harris Road and Wible Road in southwest Bakersfield on Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:16 a.m. on March 13. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the male pedestrian was crossing the street when a motorist driving east struck him.
 
The victim suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His identity was not immediately available.
 
The driver stayed and cooperated with police.
 
Police said speed, alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the crash. They urged witnesses or anyone with further information to call 661-327-7111.
