Pedestrian Dies afte Struck by Vehicle on Gunther Street in Santa Ana

 
SANTA ANA, CA (January 30, 2024) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident at Gunther Street and First Street in Santa Ana on Sunday night.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:06 p.m. on January 28. According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the male pedestrian was walking northbound across First Street when a westbound vehicle struck him.
 
Responding firefighters transported the man to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
 
At this time, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
