Lorenzo Barron Killed, Daniel Serrano Arrested in DUI Crash on Reservation Road [Marina, CA]

64-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by DUI Driver in Marina

 
MARINA, CA (January 30, 2024) – Lorenzo Alvarado Barron was killed in a DUI crash in Marina Sunday night on January 28.
 
The fatal crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Reservation Road near Crescent Avenue. According to the Marina Police Department, 21-year-old Daniel Anthony Serrano of Salinas was driving with a blood alcohol content over .08% when he struck Barron on the roadway.
 
As a result, Barron suffered major injuries and died at the trauma center. He was a 64-year-old Marina resident.
 
Serrano stayed on scene and cooperated with police. He was arrested and booked into the Monterey County Jail and is being held on $200,000 bail.
