CASTAIC SCALES, CA (March 20, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Golden State (5) Freeway at the Castaic Scales in Santa Clarita early Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:50 a.m. on March 18, along the northbound freeway. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white van struck the male pedestrian in unclear circumstances.
 
The victim, whose identity was withheld, died at the scene.
 
No other information available at this time. CHP officials are still investigating the fatality.
