Rider Killed in Motorcycle Collision with Car on Hamilton Avenue in Huntington Beach

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (November 2, 2023) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Hamilton Avenue at Magnolia Street Sunday night.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, the fatal two-vehicle crash occurred around 7:00 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a 61-year-old man on a blue Harley Davidson Softail entered the intersection while traveling eastbound. Subsequently, the Harley struck a BMW X3 turning onto Magnolia Street from westbound Hamilton Avenue.

Moments later, medical personnel responded to find the motorcyclist with fatal injuries at the scene. The 82-year-old man driving the BMW reported no injuries in the crash and cooperated with police investigators.

At this time, impaired vision does not appear to have factored into the accident. However, an investigation into the circumstances should confirm the liabilities. If anyone has news on this crash, please call HBPD Traffic Investigator J. Rounds at 714-536-5666.
