Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Broadway Outside the Crosswalk

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (August 14, 2022) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Broadway in South Los Angeles early Saturday, August 13.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:58 a.m. at 101st Street. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the male pedestrian in his 50s was crossing outside of the crosswalk when a northbound vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained on scene.
 
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
