THERMAL, CA (February 7, 2023) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on Avenue 62 in Thermal Sunday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:30 p.m. on February 5. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was traveling westbound on Avenue 62 when it struck the male pedestrian.

The man suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not yet identified.

Crews shut down the area momentarily while they cleared the wreckage.

CHP said alcohol and drugs are not a factor in the crash. Further investigation.
