Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (September 29, 2022)— A man died in a motorcycle accident on Summit Valley Road near Trout Road on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle crash happened around 5:30 a.m. CHP investigators say a 23-year-old woman driving a 2013 Hyundai Elantra was heading southbound on Summit Valley Road. Subsequently, she veered into the northbound lane, directly into the path of a southbound 2000 Ducati 750SS motorcycle while attempting a U-turn.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist was unable to avoid the crash and collided with the left side of the car.
 
The man on the motorcycle was ejected onto the road. Soon after, paramedics brought him to Desert Valley Medical Center, where he died soon after. Authorities have not released his name.
 
As for the uninjured Hyundai driver, she stayed at the scene for police questioning.
 
Officials have ruled out impairment as a possible explanation for the accident. Although, an ongoing investigation should confirm the liabilities.
