VICTORVILLE, CA (February 9, 2022) – A man died while police arrested Lacey Cecenthia Vickers after a DUI crash in Victorville, late Sunday evening.

The fatal crash happened around 11:06 p.m. on February 6 in the area of Village Drive and Clovis Street. According to the Victorville Police Department, the victim was driving a Cadillac sedan south on Village Drive and Vickers was heading north in a Jeep SUV.

For unknown reasons, both vehicles slammed head-on in the center lane of Village Drive. As a result, the impact of the crash caused the SUV to burst into flames. The Cadillac sustained major damage.

Meanwhile, a deputy used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames, then shattered the driver-side window to pull Vickers from the Jeep.
