Fatal Accident Involving 4 Jet Skis Underneath Coronado Bridge in San Diego Bay

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 22, 2021) – A man died in a jet ski accident underneath the Coronado Bridge in the San Diego Bay, Friday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just before 12:30 p.m. on November 19. Officers from the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department were alerted to the crash involving four jet skis. A U.S. Coast Guard vessel responded to the scene.
 
Members of the Coast Guard pulled the unresponsive man from the water and performed CPR on him before he was taken to a nearby dock. The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department then took over CPR.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, the man died at the scene. Authorities only described him as someone between 20 to 30 years old.
 
Others suffered non-life-threatening injuries from the crash. Paramedics transported them to medical facilities in the area for proper treatment.
 
The cause of this fatal crash is still under investigation.
