Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on View Street in Fallbrook

 
FALLBROOK, CA (February 7, 2023) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on View Street near Main Avenue Sunday night.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run accident happened around 9:40 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a blue sedan, possibly a Honda Accord, struck the 21-year-old pedestrian on the road.
 
The driver did not stop, but instead, left the scene, leaving the man with grave injuries. Soon after, officials responded and pronounced the pedestrian deceased on arrival.
 
Authorities do not know if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident. However, they are looking into this as a hit-and-run and are seeking the public’s help in identifying the whereabouts of the driver and vehicle involved.
