Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on 47th Street in Lincoln Park Neighborhood

 
LINCOLN PARK, CA (November 6, 2023) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on 47th Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood Saturday evening on November 4.
 
According to the San Diego Police Department, the man was walking southbound in the northbound lane in the 300 block of 47th Street around 7:13 p.m. A white F-250 pickup truck heading northbound on 47th Street struck the pedestrian.
 
After striking the victim, the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene without rendering aid.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the man to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
 
There is no further suspect information available at this time.
 
SDPD’s Traffic Division is still investigating the crash. Anyone with further information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
