Man Dies after Struck by Car While Changing Tire on Highway 138 in Llano

 
LLANO, CA (November 6, 2023) – A man was hit and killed by a car on Highway 138 in Llano Wednesday afternoon on November 1.
 
The fatal crash happened around 4:07 p.m. at 155th Street E. According to the California Highway Patrol, a tan Toyota Camry sedan and a black Cadillac Escalade SUV collided for unknown reasons. The driver of the Toyota pulled over onto the shoulder to replace a flat tire when the driver of the Cadillac veered to the right and struck him and his vehicle.
 
As a result, the man driving the Toyota died at the scene. His identity was not immediately available.
 
No details have been released about the other driver besides driving with a suspended license.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the crash. They said it is possible that the driver of the Cadillac could face charges.
