Head-On Crash on East Hatch Road in Hughson Kills One and Injures Another

 
HUGHSON, CA (December 20, 2023) – A man was killed in a head-on accident on East Hatch Road in Hughson late Sunday afternoon on December 17.
 
The fatal accident around 5:24 p.m. near Santa Fe Avenue. According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office, a black Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling east on Hatch road, passing vehicles when it collided head-on with a white Chevrolet 2500 that was heading west.
 
First responders pronounced the male driver of the Dodge dead at the scene.
 
The woman was able to escape the truck with the help of her husband, who was in another vehicle. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
 
At this time, it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.
