Man Dead, Firefighter Hurt in ATV Crash on Japatul Road

 
EAST COUNTY, CA (July 30, 2021) — A man died, and a firefighter was injured after an ATV accident on Japatul Road near Loveland Reservoir late Tuesday night.
 
According to authorities, the fatal ATV crash happened around 11:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, an off-road ATV vehicle with four occupants rolled over. As a result, a man in his 50s died in the crash and one other person sustained unknown injuries.
 
Shortly after, a firefighter responding to the accident crashed in an unknown manner, resulting in injuries for the firefighter. Due to their injuries, paramedics brought the two injured to Sharp Memorial Hospital as a result.
