Boy Abandoned in Hit-and-Run Accident near Van Nuys Boulevard

 
VAN NUYS, CA (July 30, 2021) — A child was abandoned in a hit-and-run near Van Nuys Boulevard and Vanowen Street Monday night.
 
According to the Los Angeles police, the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in an SUV struck a parked van near the intersection.
 
According to witnesses, the driver of the SUV ran away from the scene, leaving a young child alone in the vehicle. Shortly after, First Responders arrived and worked to calm the young boy down with videos on their cell phones.
 
At this time, officers have no word on the driver who left or the cause of the crash. Although, if anyone would like to help the authorities with this accident, please contact the Los Angeles Police Department.
