Morning Fiery Accident on James Donlon Boulevard Kills One

 
ANTIOCH, CA (July 15, 2022) – A man was killed in a fiery accident on James Donlon Boulevard in Antioch on Thursday, July 14.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:45 a.m. just between Contra Loma Boulevard and Rio Grande Drive. According to the Antioch Police Department, two cars were traveling in the same direction at a high rate of speed when they collided. One of the cars then struck a tree and caught fire.
 
As a result of the crash, one male occupant died at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, the driver and passenger in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
 
Police are still investigating whether the two cars had been racing or if road rage was involved.
