Driver Suffers Major Injuries after Crash with Pickup Truck on Highway 154 in Los Olivos

 
LOS OLIVOS, CA (July 15, 2022) – A man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 154 in Los Olivos on Thursday morning, July 14.
 
The accident happened around 8:40 a.m. near Foxen Canyon Road. According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, a pickup truck and a sedan collided for unknown reasons. The sedan caught fire after the crash but was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
 
Bystanders pulled the 60-year-old man from his vehicle while it was on fire. An air ambulance then took the victim to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
The pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
