Man Dies in San Diego DUI Crash on Bernardo Heights Parkway

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 2, 2021) — A man was killed in a DUI accident on Bernardo Heights Parkway near Avenida Venusto Wednesday morning.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the fatal accident happened around 12:40 a.m. just east of the 15 Freeway. In the investigation, police learned that the 23-year-old man crashed into a parked work truck.
 
Per San Diego police Officer John Buttle, his 1990 Chevrolet Corvette swerved to the right at a slight turn and slammed into the back of the work truck. Soon after, paramedics responded and brought the victim to a hospital where he died moments later.
 
At this time, the victim’s identity has not been released. However, officers have confirmed other information, such as speed and DUI being factors in the crash.
