Car Crashes on Pelandale Avenue in Modesto Killing the Driver and Injuring the Passenger

 
MODESTO, CA (October 2, 2023) – A man was killed in a car accident at Pelandale Avenue and Carver Road in Modesto early Saturday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly after midnight on September 30. According to the Modesto Police Department, a Tesla Model Y was heading eastbound on Pelandale when it struck a light pole at the southwest corner of the intersection.
 
As a result, the driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities only described him as a Modesto man.
 
A passenger in the Tesla, a Fresno man, was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
