Man Dies in Clairemont Broadside Crash on Balboa Avenue

 
CLAIREMONT, CA (May 18, 2021) — A man died in a broadside accident on Balboa Avenue at Mt Everest Boulevard Sunday night.
 
According to San Diego Police, the collision happened around 10:20 p.m. For unknown reasons, a 29-year-old woman driving eastbound crashed her 2016 Toyota Camry into a northbound 2018 Honda Accord.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, both drivers sustained severe injuries. When paramedics responded to the scene, they transported the woman to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the driver of the Honda, a male in his 20s, died in the crash.
 
At this time, police officers have not determined the leading cause of the collision. Although, witnesses with further insight should call the San Diego Police Department.
