Bicyclist Dies after Colliding with Vehicle on Bristol Street in Santa Ana
SANTA ANA, CA (June 19, 2022) – A 67-year-old man was killed in a bicycle accident at Bristol Street and Edinger Avenue in Santa Ana on Saturday morning.
The fatal accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on June 18. According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the man was riding his bicycle southbound on Bristol Street when he collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound on Edinger Avenue.
As a result, the bicyclist suffered significant injuries. Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he later died. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.
The vehicle’s driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
There was no indication that speed or intoxication were factors. Police asked anyone with further information to call Cpl. W. Hadley at 714-245-8216.
