Man Hurt in Traffic Crash on Highway 99 near 180 Freeway

 
FRESNO, CA (November 3, 2022) — A man suffered injuries in a traffic accident on Highway 99 on Wednesday, November 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man’s vehicle appeared to run out of gas near the connector ramp between northbound Highway 99 and eastbound 180 Freeway.
 
Officer Mike Salas said the man was returning to his car with a gas container when a vehicle hit him. He added that the man ran directly in the path of a Dodge truck.
 
CHP said paramedics rushed him to the hospital with major injuries.
 
Authorities closed the transition for around an hour as crews cleared the scene. They reopened it at around 10 a.m.
