SACRAMENTO, CA (December 6, 2022) – A man sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Rio Linda Boulevard, Saturday evening.
 
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the incident happened on December 3, at about 5:40 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle hit a pedestrian near Eleanor Avenue.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The victim’s condition remains unknown.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
Responders temporarily closed Rio Linda Boulevard between Eleanor Avenue and Lampasas Avenue to make way for an investigation.
 
Sacramento police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
