Pedestrian Suffers Injuries after Hit by Car on Highway 111 in La Quinta

 
LA QUINTA, CA (December 22, 2022) – A man was injured in a pedestrian accident on Highway 111 in La Quinta late Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened just after 5:00 p.m. on December 17, just west of Washington Street. According to the Riverside County Sheriff Deputies, the male pedestrian was walking in the area when a vehicle hit him.
 
The impact caused the victim non-life-threatening injuries. Paramedics took him to a hospital for proper treatment.
 
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with deputies.
 
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway. Deputies asked anyone with information about the crash to contact Deputy Yoo of the Thermal Station at 760-863-8990.
