Man Hospitalized in Motorcycle Crash at Friant Road in Friant

 
FRIANT, CA (August 30, 2022) — A man was injured in a motorcycle accident at Friant Road and Belcher Street on Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash happened around 11:00 a.m. Sunday. For unknown reasons, a man riding with a group of motorcyclists failed to negotiate a curve at a high rate of speed and struck a shipping container.
 
Both the motorcyclist and his bike went into the container, reports indicated.
 
Soon after, First Responders arrived at the scene and airlifted the conscious rider to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
 
During the rescue, fire crews had to cut the lock to get into the container to rescue the injured victim.
 
At this time, officers have not revealed the leading cause of the crash. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
