Driver Flees Anaheim Street Takeover After Striking 2 Men near State College Boulevard
ANAHEIM, CA (November 4, 2024) — A suspect fled a street takeover after hitting two male spectators at State College Boulevard and Orangewood Avenue.
According to witnesses, the street takeover happened around 2:00 a.m. and lasted nearly one hour. The scene, packed with spectators and unbridled disorder, woke nearby residents from their sleep.
During the boisterous event, a driver of a black Dodge Charger lost control while performing donuts at a high rate of speed. Subsequently, the Dodge Charger struck two male bystanders who were trapped underneath the vehicle.
Instead of helping, the driver fled the scene of fireworks, smoke and the stench of burned tires.
Both victims suffered major injuries, including one who required surgery. Reports described them as teens from Orange and Lancaster.
At this time, authorities are looking for the suspect who is wanted for leaving the scene and reckless driving. Those with information can call the Anaheim Police Department.
