Man Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Skateboard Crash on El Cielo Road in Palm Springs
PALM SPRINGS, CA (January 6, 2023) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run skateboard accident on El Cielo Road near Baristo Road Thursday.
According to Palm Springs police officers, the hit-and-run happened just before 8:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver heading southbound on El Cielo Road struck a skateboarder traveling northbound against traffic. The driver did not stop to help the 26-year-old skateboarder and instead turned west on East Baristo Road.
Soon after, emergency personnel arrived and brought the patient to a hospital with major injuries to his arm and leg.
Now, officers are looking for a white four-door Ford Fusion with a sunroof, chrome rims and rear tinted windows. In addition, the vehicle might have sustained passenger-side headlight and front fender damage.
