LANCASTER, CA (December 4, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Avenue J and Dale Avenue.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 7:40 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a white Honda struck a pedestrian walking southbound across an unmarked crosswalk. Subsequently, the westbound driver pulled over and waited for the authorities.
 
The woman passed away from severe injuries and officials did not release her identity. Officers have not confirmed which party had the right of way or if impairment factored into the cause.
