Man Hospitalized in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at Webster Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 19, 2023) — A man was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Webster Street and Edison Highway.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run happened around 3:32 a.m. on June 16. For an unknown reason, a driver of an eastbound white Nissan Sentra struck a pedestrian and drove off.
 
The victim, described as a Hispanic male about 30 years old, was lying in the No. 2 lane of the eastbound lanes. Paramedics took him to Kern Medical for his injuries.
 
Some time later, officers found the Nissan abandoned on Kentucky Street and Center Street but were unable to find the driver in the area.
