Motorcycle Officer Hurt in Crash at Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach
PACIFIC BEACH, CA (June 19, 2023) — A motorcycle officer was injured in an accident at Garnet Avenue and Kendall Street.
According to San Diego Police Department officers, the accident happened around 3:35 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a driver in a Ford SUV rear-ended a San Diego Police Officer on his motorcycle. The officer, although suffered major injuries, was breathing and conscious when emergency units arrived at the scene.
Reports say that an off-duty Coronado police officer witnessed the accident and rushed to the officer’s aid. As for the driver, he or she stayed at the scene for the police investigations.
At this time, authorities do not have the leading cause of the crash but will investigate this case more closely.
