High-Speed Chase Ends in Head-On Crash on Mission Boulevard in Pomona

 
POMONA, CA (January 16, 2024) – A man was injured when a high-speed chase ended in a head-on crash on Mission Boulevard in Pomona Thursday afternoon on January 11.
 
The crash happened just before 2:00 p.m. at Brea Place. According to the California Highway Patrol, authorities chased the driver of a silver pickup truck, who was wanted for some type of vandalism. The suspect veered into oncoming traffic and slammed head-on into an approaching vehicle.
 
The innocent driver managed to exit their car and walk away without any apparent serious injuries.
 
The suspect remained inside the pickup truck for about 20 minutes before police apparently fired a less-lethal round into the cab, shattering the driver-side window.
 
A short time later, police approached the truck and pulled the suspect out, who was visibly bleeding from the head.
 
An investigation is underway.
