Police Arrest DUI Driver after Head-On Crash on Lucky Lane in Madera County

 
MADERA COUNTY, CA (July 5, 2023) – A man was injured in a DUI head-on crash on Lucky Lane in Madera County Saturday evening on July 1.
 
The crash happened just before 7:30 p.m. near Buck Run Lane. According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was driving a GMC Sierra when he went over the center line and crashed head-on with a Dodge Challenger.
 
As a result, the man driving the Sierra broke his ankle. He was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
 
The female passenger of the Sierra was also injured in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Challenger sustained minor injuries.
 
Police later arrested the driver of the Sierra on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
