Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Vineland Avenue near Sherman Way in North Hollywood

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 4, 2022) – Police confirmed that a man in a wheelchair died in a hit-and-run accident on Vineland Avenue on July 3.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened between Sherman Way and Vanowen Street around 2:55 AM.
 
Based on a report, a dark-colored sedan was going southbound on Vineland at the time of the crash. Due to unknown circumstance, it struck the pedestrian who was in the southbound lanes between Sherman and Vanowen. Subsequently, the driver drove away from the scene.
 
As a result, the Los Angeles Police Department said the pedestrian died at the scene. Authorities did not release the victim’s identity but they said that he was in his early 50s.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division has urged anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at 818-644-8036 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222- 8477.
