Pedestrian Dies after Struck on 405 Freeway near Burbank Boulevard

 
VAN NUYS, CA (July 4, 2022) – Christopher Berry was killed in a pedestrian accident in Van Nuys on Friday, July 1.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:46 a.m. on 405 Freeway just south of Burbank Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 39-year-old victim from Indianapolis was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Berry suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
The driver of the vehicle that struck Berry remained at the scene.
 
The crash closed multiple lanes of the northbound and southbound freeway for several hours.
 
An investigation is ongoing.
