Las Vegas Man Dies in Fiery Crash on 15 Freeway at Temescal Canyon Road

 
CORONA, CA (July 4, 2022) – Demetrius Powell died in a fiery accident on 15 Freeway in Corona on Friday, July 1.
 
The accident happened around 2:40 a.m. at the Temescal Canyon Road on-ramp. CHP officials said a semi trailer and at least another vehicle collided along the southbound lanes of the freeway. The big rig then caught fire from the impact.
 
Powell suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 31-year-old Las Vegas resident, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
 
It was unclear what vehicle the victim was riding in and the factors involved were not immediately known.
 
Further investigation is underway.
