Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Mines Road near Shirley Way [Livermore, CA]

Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Mines Road in Livermore

 
LIVERMORE, CA (October 19, 2023) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Mines Road near Shirley Way.
 
According to Livermore police officers, the motorcycle accident happened around 4:50 p.m. on Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a woman in her early 60s driving a southbound red Honda CRV made a left onto Shirley Way without yielding to a northbound motorcyclist. Subsequently, the northbound motorcycle struck the Honda.
 
Soon after, the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department arrived and rendered life-saving measures on the victim, described as a Livermore man in his 30s. However, he passed away at the scene. Officials have yet to release his name.
 
Following the collision, police interviewed the Honda driver but did not believe impairment played a factor. If anyone has more information surrounding this fatal motorcycle crash, please call Livermore police.
