1 Dead in Motorcycle Crash on La Cresta Road in East County

 
EAST COUNTY, CA (April 10, 2024) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on La Cresta Road near Coyote Ridge Lane Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly motorcycle collision happened in the East County community around 5:10 p.m. For an unknown reason, a 53-year-old El Cajon resident operating an eastbound Yamaha motorcycle collided with a Kia Forte turning left from a driveway. Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the motorcyclist to a hospital. However, the motorcyclist passed away from severe injuries. Officials did not release his name.
 
Following the accident, the Kia Forte driver, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries, told officers she did not see the approaching motorcycle. Authorities did not say whether the 37-year-old El Cajon woman faces charges.
