SACRAMENTO, CA (April 10, 2024) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Fruitridge Road near Ethel Way.
 
According to the Sacramento Police, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a white pickup truck hit two pedestrians, including one in a wheelchair. Subsequently, the driver pulled over and waited for authorities to arrive.
 
Minutes later, paramedics responded and found the woman in critical condition and rushed her to a hospital. The man, however, died in the accident. Officials have not released his name.
 
Following the crash, the driver stayed and cooperated with police investigators who have yet to identify the ultimate cause.
