Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash at Florin Road in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 17, 2023) — A man died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Florin Road near Stockton Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 9:45 p.m. Saturday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck a 50-year-old man in South Sacramento. Soon after, CHP officers responded to calls about a person in the roadway.
 
Minutes later, paramedics took the victim to an area hospital with major injuries. However, in spite of receiving life-saving efforts, the victim passed away at the hospital.
 
Officers have no witnesses’ testimonies or evidence at the scene that could lead to the driver or vehicle involved. If anyone has seen this crash, please call the CHP.
