Man Killed in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Crash on 15 Freeway in Lake Elsinore

 
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (September 11, 2023) — A man died in a hit-and-run motorcycle accident on the 15 Freeway near Railroad Canyon Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. For an unknown reason, a driver in an unknown vehicle collided with a northbound 2007 Yamaha V Star. The motorcycle rider who was traveling in the same direction as the vehicle died at the scene of the accident.
 
Moments later, CHP officers arrived to find the driver unaccounted for at the scene. Authorities need the public’s help in determining the events of this crash and the identity of the driver. If anyone has more information, please call the CHP’s Temecula-area office at 951-506-2000.
