PALMDALE, CA (September 11, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Palmdale Boulevard near 5th Street.
 
According to the Palmdale Sherrif’s Office, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 1:45 a.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, a driver in an eastbound Chevrolet Camaro could not respond in time and struck a pedestrian running southbound across Palmdale Boulevard.
 
The victim, who remains unidentified, passed away in the accident. Following the incident, the driver stayed at the scene and immediately called 911.
 
At this time, traffic investigators do not have an explanation for the crash. However, an investigation into the details should reveal more information.
