GARDEN GROVE, CA (November 9, 2023) — A man died Sunday after a car crashed into a tree on Newhope Street near Garden Grove Boulevard.
 
According to Garden Grove police officers, the deadly single-car crash happened around 12:05 a.m. For an unknown reason, a 20-year-old Garden Grove man lost control of a vehicle and crashed into a tree in the 12900 block of Newhope Street.
 
Minutes later, paramedics responded and confirmed a 20-year-old male dead at the scene. Medical professionals also rushed the driver to a hospital in critical condition and an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl from Anaheim to a hospital in a critical state.
